Mandolin Parts
Abbreviated F Pickguard
Price range: $145.00 through $150.00
Description
Not sure if you even want a pickguard? Is a full-sized pickguard too big? This might be the perfect answer.
Priced less than a traditional pickguard, they also offer the advantage of covering less of your mandolin’s treble F-hole. That lets more sound out of the instrument, while protecting the top of your mandolin from pick wear. These pickguards give “maximum protection with minimum coverage”. The abbreviated pickguards do not include a side bracket, but are stably secured to the neck with the two included mounting pins.
You can order the pickguard in either Faux Tortoise Shell Celluloid or Ebony. The surface is polished to a high luster. The back face includes a carbon fiber backing, for added strength and stability.
There are two binding options: Ivoroid-Black-Ivoroid, or Single Bound in Ivoroid. In general, when choosing the binding options, it’s usually best to match the binding that’s on the top of your mandolin.
